- "Incredibly beautiful high end boutique hotel with a traditional tea house theme. Every corner was photo worthy and meticulously thought out. It looks even better than the photos here. Views of the mountains were magical, and the entire place lit up at night. The staff were also incredible, providing a very personalised service like welcome fruit basket and personalised handwritten messages. They have a bunch of on site experiences also, like photoshoots and tea experiences. We tried the roast tea experience which was great. They also have a bbq restaurant themed like outdoor glamping. The rooms were luxurious with its own tea corner as well as bathtub. It is more remote and 10min drive from the main Zhangjiajie National Park entrance, but totally worth it for the peacefulness and views. The hotel also provides free transport to the park entrance so that wasn't a problem. Recommended to download WeChat so you can directly message the staff for any needs also. They can speak english also. We feel so relaxed after staying here, thank you to all the staff for making it so memorable!"

- "The Valley Lodge is a super recovery spot after long days of nature and hiking. They gave us an upgrade to a better room with bathtub on the balcony - which was super cool! Rain always welcomed us at the entrance and helped us with booking tickets for the scenic areas and shuttles. The service was excellent! Also all the other staff was super friendly and attentive. In the evening they sang some Zhangjiajie Folksongs specially just for us. We loved it there and didn‘t want to go - you should stay there for at least 4-5 days to have enough time for the national park, mountains and enjoying the hotel! The food was also really good, especially the hot pot. They also gave us a little tea tasting and you can join some group events in the morning no matter if it is off-season or season time. The view from their heated infinitiy pool was breathtaking and you can easily recharge your energy there. The valley lodge is very close to the entrance for experience the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains and is less crowded than other entrance. We were tthere without a guide and could find everything very easy. Rain brought us directly there and helped us translating at the ticket counter. All over was it one of my best experience there in Zhangjiajie and you will never forget the great service and the breathtaking, amazing views of the national forest. (In 4 days we saw: Avatar Hallelujah Mountains, Tianzi Mountain, Tianmen Mountain, Baofeng Lake and the Glass Bridge)"
