Have a look at the restaurant!" - "This small walled hotel is a traditional building, perfectly located in the middle of the best town to base yourself in if exploring Lanzarote by car. It’s round the corner from the main piazza with parking right outside, but it’s very quiet and peaceful inside. The courtyard garden that you cross to get to your room is beautifully planted, with seating and deckchairs too. Rooms are huge but there are only a few, so it still feels homely. Ensuite bathrooms are either separate or part of the main room, and each room is designed differently. We stayed in two rooms, one of which was better for bathroom privacy than the other but neither a problem. Beds are huge and comfy and there’s plenty of storage space. Upstairs rooms lead onto a balcony where you can sit with a glass of wine to watch the sun set. Downstairs rooms are cool and shady, which would be lovely in summer. Service is always attentive but never intrusive (thank you, Nicholas). Breakfasts in the lovely dining room offer a huge choice of little treats so you can vary them according to your taste and level of hunger (or hangover!). The evening dining tasting menu was good though not exceptional - coming from London we’re perhaps a bit spoiled. But the atmosphere was lovely and it’s always a pleasure to sit and relax with others in this beautiful boutique hotel. It’s a gorgeous, calm place to wake in and to retreat to at the end of the day. I’d love to return."
