- "The people running the hotel were amazing, helpful and so welcoming" - "When choosing a place for a great holiday, aside from the mandatory “clean/quiet/organized/unpretentious/hot-water-does-not-run-out”, we have a checklist that helps: 1) small and family run, 2) has a garden and an uncrowded pool, 3) close to the sea, but away from the main street, 4) walking distance to the nearest town, 5) good food inside or close-by. This place checks all the boxes!!! If you are anything like us, you will enjoy it greatly. When we booked, there were not many reviews - and this boutique hotel bested our expectations. The owners Paola and Dario make you feel at home, as does the main waiter in the restaurant, Pino. Most recommended! The location: you are in a garden just above the sea, 100 m walk from a little beach, away from the main road. It is also a 10-15 min seaside walk to the cozy Forio - or 3 min walk to the bus stop that takes you to anywhere on the island. (Note that if you are coming from Napoli, you can take the ferry directly to Forio. Dario was very kind - he picked us up at the ferry. You really do not need a car in Ischia.) The hotel looks better in reality than in the photos. There are two pools: one regular large pool, one thermal hot water. The pool area is separated from the hotel by a garden and the dining terrace, so you do not hear the pool sounds in the rooms. The room was renovated and clean. Airconditioning is quiet and works well. The restaurant: The breakfast and lunch is served on the garden terrrace, the dinner is in a downstairs hall. We had two lunches and a dinner during our stay, all of which were really delicious and ample. For us, the food bested all other restaurants in Ischia."

He gave us so much information about the island which was so helpful. We were given room 2, which had a sea view and balcony, where we could watch the sun set every night. The rooms were extremely clean, and were cleaned daily. The breakfast was great, basic but all fresh. The pool area, we popped to see but didn’t stay there, was also very clean. Every body here was just so friendly, we were greeted with a welcoming smile all the time. It’s about a 20 minute walk into Forio centre, which was great of an evening. The bus stop is just down the road, literally a 3 minute walk and the nearest beach and restaurants are a little further down. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come to stay again. This is a 5 star, 3 star hotel! Thanks for having us!"
