Breakfast was varied and very good, with hot food cooked to order as well as plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, homemade yoghurt etc. Cocktails whilst watching the sunset were very special and the restaurant meals were very good. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive even when their English sometimes made communication tricky (but fun!). The managerial staff were helpful, friendly and able to organise arrival and onward transport very efficiently. The beach was clean and had beautiful soft sand and the sea was delicious. One of the beaches was very safe for children as it didn't shelve at all, but the other one, which was more popular, had quite a steep shelf at low tide. It was wonderful being able to take the free kayaks and paddle through quiet mangroves at high tide or paddle across to the two small islands opposite with their sandy beaches. Unfortunately we had some rogue bad weather meaning our second kayaking trip was in the rain which was definitely not the same vibe!! I had a couple of massages which were excellent. We joined the early morning savannah trip one day which was fascinating and seemed very incongruous - fully expected to see giraffes and zebra!"
