All rooms feature either a balcony or a terrace. Some rooms come with a bath tub next to a panorama window with mountain views. Flat-screen TV, satellite connection, radio, safe and desk are provided. Bathrobes, sauna towels and slippers can be rented for free. Located at the entrance to the Karwendel Nature Reserve in Pertisau, the Sonnenhof is next to the Achensee Golf Course. All rooms and apartments have a balcony with panoramic mountain views. All rooms at the Sonnenhof also offer a flat-screen TV, a seating area or sofa, and a bathroom with a make-up mirror and hairdryer. The rich breakfast buffet includes many regional specialties and homemade jams. Half-board also consists of dinner served in the elegant restaurant, which includes an appetizer and a salad buffet, and a choice among 4 main courses. Opened in December 2015, the Sonnehof Natur Spa Area can be used free of charge, while massages is offered at a surcharge. The Sonnenhof also has a bar, a Tyrolean lounge, a winter garden with a tiled stove, a ski storage room, and a elevator with panoramic views (in the main building). Guests can also play table tennis outside. A large car park is available free of charge. Carports are subject to a fee. Hiking trails and cross-country ski runs are only a few steps away. Lake Achen is a 10-minute walk away.

If staying for dinner you will get a menu at breakfast for dinner with 4 choices of main dinner. The choice of buffet starter is delicious and then there is always a soup choice too. I absolutely loved the soups such as tomato consommé. Then the main dinners and desserts are excellent, I honestly cannot speak highly enough about how great the restaurant is, the creativity of the dishes, flavours and presentation are exceptional. Dishes such as the dessert of lingonberry pancakes with sour ice and local wild blueberries had us talking how delicious it was several times the next day! Then other thoughtful touches like a daily MorganPost newsletter giving weather predictions, hiking routes and things to do as well as offers from the spa were really appreciated. Overall I would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. The quality of everything from the amenities, the cleanliness, the staff and restaurant are excellent. We had to leave to get our flight before breakfast started and this came up just by chance in a conversation and we were immediately invited to the restaurant thirty minutes early so as not to miss out on breakfast before our journey. You would not get this from a big chain of hotels and shows just how much guests are valued at the Sonnerhof."
