The staff Shoko and her husband Hayato are ski and snowboard instructors, respectively, and answered any questions we had with passion. They prepared the breakfast room daily with cereal, bread, a variety of spreads and tea + coffee. To add, on the third day they offered to change our bedding and towels. Shoko also does a yoga class at the lodge and Hayato can be seen clearing out fresh snow in the powdery mornings. The lodge was less than a 5 minute walk to the main gondola and we were given a discount to one of the ski shops close by. The included drying room was a great addition to the lodge, as each new day we woke up to our gear snow-free and ready to go! Being able to get down from a day tumbling in the snow, take off my gear, then head straight to the bath was a feeling of bliss and relaxation that can't be beaten. We loved that they offered a semi raised bed. Bedding was really comfy and our room was really spacious. Didn't have any issues with the in-room amenities at all! Amazing variety of local breakfasts every morning and great that you could have your own private breakfast area. Loved the samue provided and that it was refreshed daily! Onsen was kept very clean with a lot of amenities (spent a lot of time there!) Discount off ski passes & ski equipment if you're a guest here so you don't need to book your equipment in advance - just get it when you're there using their discount!
