- "We were the second guests ever to be welcomed by Dora and what an amazing welcome and stay it was. Firstly Dora is a wonderful human. Kind and warm-hearted her greeting is like meeting your long lost mother or aunt. She has transferred this energy into the house which she lovingly renovated with her husband. The apartment itself has been renovated to an incredibly high standard with amazing features and attention to detail. The kitchen living area is cosy but light and airy, with reclaimed railway sleepers and a Greek fire pits shaping some of the furniture. The kitchen is well equipped with wine glasses, flutes, cutlery, crockery and a two hob electric hot plate. The bedroom is beautiful with an incredible view from the room of the mountains and oceans. AC in both rooms is a blessing in the hot Corfu sun. The bathroom is wonderful with a rainfall shower and almost wet room type feel to the room. Outside the terrace is a perfect spot for dinner, overlooking the mountains and the sea. And of course, the hot tub! We didn’t make much use of it (as it’s already 30+ degrees outside!) but it was a real treat late at night once it’s cooler to share a glass of wine there and look out over the landscape as you listen to the aliveness of the surrounding nature. The apartment is well situated 30/40 mins to old Corfu town by car, near many beautiful beaches and also a great local supermarket. What truly made this place though was the thought that’s gone into it. From the standards of renovation to the massive touches Dora adds - cold wine and water in the fridge on arrival along with local honey, marmalade and more. A bathroom drawer packed with everything from a thermometer to toothbrushes and sewing kits. Amazing local toiletries and soap. And Dora even gave us a leaving gift of beautiful local delicacies. From start to finish the stay was beautiful and it’s such a pleasure to experience the love and thought Dora and her family have put into this place."
