This 4-star design hotel in the heart of the Lavaux UNESCO World Heritage Site overlooks the vineyards and Lake Geneva and is a 2-minute walk from the Epesses train station. It offers free WiFi, a small on-site private car park with free parking spaces (reservation not possible) as well as public parking spaces nearby. The bright and modern rooms at Hotel Lavaux include a large flat-screen satellite TV, a seating area, triple glazed windows, high quality bedding, a tea/coffee maker, and a bathroom with toiletries and a hairdryer. Some rooms on the street-facing side have a balcony or terrace overlooking the lake and the mountains. All apartments also include a fully equipped kitchen. A rich breakfast buffet is served every morning in the restaurant hall. The Atelier restaurant has a summer terrace and serves Italian dishes. Guests can also relax on the large panoramic roof terrace. Hotel Lavaux is on the canton route between Vevey and Lausanne, a 10-minute drive from each town. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the lake shore and a 10-minute walk from the center of Cully. Geneva Airport can be reached in a 1-hour drive.

I also had to google how to operate the tilt and turn door onto the big balcony (with table and chairs) which was easy with the free WiFi. Good quality bedding and towels. Switzerland is more expensive than UK but the prices at LaVaux would not be out of place there. Lots of space, shower excellent and the view just perfect. I haven't travelled abroad for 25 years, and coming here as a single traveller was very daunting. Hotel Lavaux turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I thought it was excellent."
