- "Rarely does a place measure up to its pictures, marketing etc. La Donaira exceeded all of those. It can only be described as heaven on earth. We had just finished hosting guests for a week and needed a break for ourselves. We wanted something quiet, good food, good service. We found this online, randomly, and did not know what to expect. But as we did the beautiful drive in from the village, we felt our heart rates drop and our spirits rise. From the greeting when we arrived to the morning we left, we encountered staff who were not only warm, welcoming and a pleasure to deal with, but also felt genuinely so. I think they are very proud of what they built and want to share it. It is not an inexpensive holiday to be sure, but the facilities, food and service lived up to it. We felt at home and enjoyed every, every minute. We plan to find a way to make this an annual holiday. I want to specially thank all of the staff, who were so wonderful and welcoming. You are a treasure."

The garden surrounding the pool is also lovely, with hammocks, table tennis, seating and sun loungers and loads of space. The courtyard was a peaceful and comfortable space to sit and eat, or read and relax in the shade. The kitchen was very practical, very well equipped and very clean. The rooms also had everything you needed and were nice and cool. All in all, this is a beautiful, tranquil and practical place to stay, we loved it!"
