- "I've never been to Camiguin island, so I had no idea where to stay. Most places were listed by the north shore and I chose this one with a nice room, great price, close to where I needed to be to attend a wedding and overall seemed like the best option available. It absolutely was all those things! First, the room was very nice, if you see the pictures of the room that opens to a sea view, that's exactly right. I couldn't have taken more representative pictures. The wood flooring is very nice, the room tastefully decorated, but as I told the owners, I loved the mattresses. Very very comfortable. Apparently they're made in the Philippines, second most expensive on the market, and it shows. Super comfortable and I slept very well, even being exhausted from traveling almost 2 straight days to get there. Second, the location is awesome, right on the beach. Keep in mind this island is volcanic, so the sand is black. It rained virtually every day we were there, so there was no laying on the beach sunbathing. Not sure I would have done so anyway, as it seems better for walking than for laying out. Third, the owner and their staff is exceptional. I really enjoyed my discussions with Peter, his wife, and all his staff. They really went out of their way to make sure my nephew and I were comfortable. The included breakfast includes homemade bread that Peter bakes every day, which was fantastic, jam, butter, bacon and a couple of eggs. More than good, plus excellent coffee. Peter has a lot of stories about living on the island, running the resort, and just life on Camiguin in general. Great conversation and made passing the time between other family activities very pleasant. Those also offer dinner options, which we took advantage of 1 night. They also arranged a tour of the island by a small van / truck thing I forget the name of, and made the sure driver charged us a fair price."

- "The whole villa with own pool is just amazing, there is enough space, the bathroom is huge. The breakfast is served directly to the terrace, the staff is just so nice and very polite." - "My husband and I stayed at Kalinaw for 4 nights. Kalinaw only recently reopened, the villa was HUGE/MASSIVE with a private pool. There were couple other villas still under construction next to ours however the resort staff were aware of this and accomodating for this minor inconvenience. Our only criticism for the room is a patchy wi-fi and pillows were too soft for us. Staff were very attentive and friendly, breakfasts were all very good, the cocktails (in particular, fresh coco shake with rum and banana daiquiri) were fantastic, and Chablis with cheese platter and croque monsieur was great too. We had a steak and a rabbit for dinner, which were good but the steak was somewhat small and the rabbit was a little salty for me - but again, overall, food was great and very well priced. Staff were very helpful organising a scooter rental and massage as well as complimentary yoga mats. We had massages twice during our stay, once in outdoor area and once in our room! The infinity pool was fantastic, we enjoyed the morning/afternoon/evening dips every single time we get a chance. The surrounding garden space was very tropical and beautiful as well. The communication with the reception and the restaurants are all via ipad messenger, and the responses were timely. There is no actual beach front, the villa stands out onto a retaining wall on to the waterfront. Villa is located about 900m from Cloud 9 (15mins walk), about 2.5km from central town (5mins scooter) and less than 3 mins walking distance from a new restaurant “Roots”. Overall, we had a good relaxing time and we highly recommend the Kalinaw for your luxury stay in Siargao!"

- "Absolutely loved the place. The staff there is amazing especially Richelle, Ericka and Dave. They go above and beyond every time. You walk out of your room 10 times a day and they will greet you every single time and when you come back to the villa they offer you cold water. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the villa. Location is a little far from the main hub (which I didn't mind) as it was nice and quiet and only a 10 min ride to the party places and a 5 min ride to surfing place. Food is amazing as well."
