Chatting with the Owner, they renovated the 22 guest rooms on levels 2 and 3 while living in apartment above, wrapping up as Covid stalled the tourist market. Now in full swing, the interior combines lovely old wood finishes with new fixtures and intentionally modest furnishings. The staff was super helpful and seem very proud of their efforts. Considering the value, the history, and the location -it’s an emerging barrio and Chile’s president now lives a few blocks away- this stay was a highlight of my Santiago visit."
