We certainly did not want to leave. However, Vini arranged really good value transport, and when we left for Uda Walawe, he continued to find animals for us to see on the way, including seeing thousands of fruit bats roosting. we only hope we can return to this magic place - soon!"

I would say one of the main things that stood out was the friendly hosts Nimal and his wife who went out of their way to ensure it was a comfortable stay for me. They provided helpful tips on what to see and do, also arranged a scooter (which was MUCH easier than having to deal with a rental company), and Nimal saved the day getting me to my bus to Ella (whilst risking life and limb in traffic to get me on it!).
