Our first impression was a bit strange – walking through a gardening center – but in the end, it turned out great. Privacy and a lovely garden. Shops and beaches are only accessible by car, but the nearest beach is just 5 minutes away. In mid-July, there were no crowds at all. Definitely worth visiting Castiglione, and you can also go to Piombino and from there take a trip to Elba. By car and ferry: 40 minutes + 40 minutes. We had great weather – no scorching heat. I would just recommend improving the check-in and check-out process a bit to make it smoother. Let me know if you want a more formal or casual version!"
