- "Cesar and Lucy were great hosts. Cesar gave us a very nice tour around his community and answered lots of our questions. He also took us to his son's school to pick him up. We saw how the elementary school was run in the community and got to meet the children and teachers, which was a very unique and memorable experience. Lucy fed us really well with different kinds of food, including trout, chicken and fruits. The view was amazing from our room. We saw some pink and purple thunderstorm at night. The bed was very comfortable with soft linens. It was cold at night and hot in the middle of the day, so prepare to wear layers. The room has a gas powered heater and thick blankets, which kept us warm at night. Instead of paying money to a tourist agency, we paid directly to the host. We were happy that we could support locals in this way, as their economy heavily relies on tourism."

Celso will guide you to the best spots of taquile island from Pachamama temple, inca ruins, best sunset spot, to playa. They are great host with big heart. I truly recommend staying with them. They will tell you everything about island history, tradition, and more! Just remember not taking all your luggage with you ...cause the island is hilly and the hike can be a bit challenging with heavy bags."
