Comfortable loungers and a great pool bar serving snacks and drinks (my kids really enjoyed the excellent chips) We had a room in the chateau and it was very tastefully furnished. Large bathroom, super comfortable beds and I loved the turrets staircase. I slept very well both nights which is a rarity for me. Borrowing bikes from the hotel to cycle (roadfree) to Gruissan was the highlight. Lovely town with excellent restaurants and the cycle ride there was spectacular (along beautiful rivers). We ate in the hotel restaurant, Asana and although the menu was quite simple (a grill offering a variety of meats/fish), it was executed very well. The grilled half onions were a surprising hit with the whole family. We played petanque, swam, cycled, spent time in the small but perfectly formed spa, drank good wine and soaked up the views...all in all a perfect couple of nights. This was a treat for us and a stretch for our budget but we felt the splurge was worth it as it surpassed our expectations."
