Forest Side is an attractive, secluded Victorian stately hotel, located in wooded estate in the Lake District. It is located at Wordsworth's picturesque Grasmere village. Home to wild deer, red squirrels and a badger set. This traditional stately home built by the Earl of Lonsdale reflects the style and seclusion of the era, and has magnificent views and a unique and elegant interior. The staff make every effort to make Forest Side somewhere to relax and de-stress. Our guests can enjoy walking around our grounds. Holding a much envied position on the lower slopes of Butter Crag, a short stroll down the sweeping private driveway from the hotel itself, lies Grasmere Village, Wordsworths inspiration, from the creative romantic, to the serious fell walker, there is a side of Grasmere that everyone can fall in love with.

Spa treatments are available by prior arrangement. The restaurant at The Daffodil serves a traditional British menu with a modern twist. The dining room enjoys a lake view, as does the Sitting Room where afternoon tea is served. In addition the property has a beautiful terrace for enjoying the finer weather. The hotel is located on the A591 as you enter Grasmere which allows easy access to the popular Lake District towns of Keswick 13 miles to the north and Ambleside 4 miles to the south.
