I could not have asked for a nicer gift, or a better place to call home during that time than the lodge. It is perfectly situated so as to not hear any traffic from the main road above, yet walking distance to everything in the village and with a view towards the “lompolo” that is disturbed only by trees, pristine snow and acrobatic squirrels. The minute we walked through the door we knew it was perfect for us. Cozy, welcoming, relaxed and tastefully decorated, with two saunas and plenty of space to relax. The following morning we were warmly welcomed by the owners, Toni and Ninnu, who had gladly taken every measure to meet my partner’s challenging dietary needs and ensure a cozy breakfast experience by the fireplace for both of us - which is not the case everywhere. All of the staff (Mia and Alma) we met during our stay were equally as welcoming and helpful, and made us feel like special guests. Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a kitchenette as well as a drying cabinet - perfect for coming home after an active day out on the snowy trails to make hot chocolate and hang up our wet clothes. The lounge area outside our room was the perfect place to enjoy hot chocolate and write into the travel journal. Cozy and warm seating and even two hanging chairs.
