Our host Pavlina was warm & personable, and also as we discovered, an amazing chef. We arrived late after a long travel, tired & hungry. Pavlina served us a dinner of full of fresh ingredients and great flavors, & the little touches that you noticed on each plate revealed the soul of an artist. Pavlina served us a cheesecake of her own recipe that was so delicate & delicious, topped w/ freshly picked cherries from the garden, which is the best I've had. (Note: I grew up in lower Manhattan, perhaps the cheesecake capitol of the world.) The house itself is spacious and embodies a sense of rustic charm and luxury, and is wonderfully situated in a stunning, pristine valley populated by oak trees and riven with wild flowers. There was a fresh branch of tiny wild roses left on or bathroom shelf, which is typifies the attention to detail that the family has invested in this project.
