- "This place is like A DREAM! The photos on the website are nice, but its even better in real life. We arrived to a beautiful sunset. The outside of the building is historical but the interiors are mid-century modern/modern and GORGEOUS. Our room was a nice size, we had a Juliet balcony with a view of the city/bay/sunset and we had our own porch off the bedroom. The breakfasts are over the top and delicious - so much to choose from. The pool is beautiful and the grounds are very well attended and have lots of different areas for setting and hanging out. There is a lot of attention to detail - like fairy lights and candles outside when you get back at night - the perfect spot for a glass of wine and taking in the view of the city at night. There is also a path to the beach near the hotel, but we did not check it out. The staff is so helpful and friendly - they made many recommendations for sites/activities and dining, and they call taxis for you to come take you into town. I did not want to leave, and opted to just stay there and relax and enjoy the property on one morning and afternoon. Like San Sebastian itself, the Mendia Argia is a very special, beautiful, welcoming and relaxing place that you will not forget."

There is some scaffolding around building but we not here for the views as we are out and about not spending lot of time in room looking outside window, mainly there to sleep. Very quiet didn't hear any outside noise and no issues with noises from other rooms."
