Its a walk up from the town, but you are rewarded with peace, quite and lovely views. You can go walking directly from the Hostel for miles and miles. Samaipata is about three hours from Santa Cruz - Bert arranged for Elias, a friendly taxi driver, to pick us up from Santa Cruz and take us back to the airport"
