- "This little gem is a wonderful place to stay, on arrival the staff were fantastic, we had a slight problem with the booking as it was a last minute thing, but the staff sorted this with no problems. The room was great, clean and the facilities were very good, plenty of tea, coffee and milk, and when we asked for more, as we like our cups of teas, this was no problem at all, and we even got some fresh milk. The bed was very comfy, the ensuite bathroom was clean, and the shower was nice and big to move around in. The evening food we ordered was great, and we didn't have to wait too long for it, the food was hot and tasted great, compliments to the chef all the staff were very polite and were always at hand if you needed them. To the breakfast, what can we say, it is probably one of the best breakfasts we both have had, again compliments to the chef, again staff were great, and the offerings of the cereal and pastries were great, with fresh coffee and tea. The pub itself is a wonderful little gem and with the added bonus of great staff to make you feel welcome. When we are in the area again, we will be booking here again, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone."
