I always wanted to visit The Temple House as well, because I appreciate the same group hotels in Beijing where I live, The Opposite House and East. The Temple House was so good that I almost forgot to visit the town. I spent more time in the hotel and it’s facilities than outside. That gives me a very good excuse to be back in Chengdu and The Temple House for longer. First , the architecture mix of old temple construction and modern glass building, the public spaces outside, underground, with small patios, giving at the same time the entertainment of the bar and the quietness of the pool loungers… the room, with fantastic space, equipment and unique design. Second, the service, with an unique welcoming, attention during all the stay that was discrete, but really touching… Third the facilities, with everything I like, the library in the ancient building, the swimming pool with steam room and sauna, the gym, perfectly equipped. Fourth, the food and beverage. Breakfast was perfect, outside or inside, with an extremely attentive service, good quality of food and drinks, diverse to answer the needs of everyone. The bar is a perfect place to chill out in the evening, outside, very good music, and original cocktails with quality finger food…and the Italian restaurant we tried, in a cosy patio, quiet, very nice food and good service. And on the top of it the location in the heart of Chengdu and the extremely well designed TaiKooli… Even if I knew that the hotel was very nice, I didn’t expect such an experience….
