It feels like coming home to a cozy apartment each time you return. You enter with a manual code or whatsapp / digi unlock request. Upon arrival a very friendly cleaning staff member that happened to be working pointed us towards our room. I had no problem with there not being staff on site, as it was clearly communicated everywhere how to reach someone. On the frontside of the building there’s also a shop with the same plates and cups for sale and accessories for use on the beach. They also have their own restaurant, walking distance. When I booked they warned for works outside the building but we experienced or saw none, so I think it was done. We stayed in ‘duinkamer 6’ which meant our balcony had a view towards the dunes. You enter via the ground floor, no steps on this side to get to the room. We were situated on the right side of the building, meaning if you look left over the edge from the balcony you can see a distant view of the parking-lot situated between the dunes. It sounds unfortunate but it has a cool big ol’ school-bus on it and nature, so it’s not a back alley view. We used the paid parking ourselves. Sitting on those rocking chairs on the balcony you actually look forward towards the dunes which was nice and wind-free. No experience of noise or anything inside and out. The room has a modern design interior with art and other decorative stuff around the room. Before we got here, we checked many of the reviews and I think they keep improving the place based on those, which I find a quality of a good host. Rooms with a stove etc usually grow over time (eq kitchenwares). During our stay we actually noticed they gave us an extra pan, not sure if it was missing or because we had packs of soup on the counter. :) There was a big air conditioning system hanging just above the ground, which cools the room well."
