The location is excellent for proximity to town which is walkable in under 10 minutes and it's the same for the wine tram / bus terminal at Franchoek. There is an epic continental breakfast spread every day with hot options available on request. The staff are friendly and chatty, and the hotel is on hand for any concierge service you might need, from vineyard recommendations, to bookings, cancellations and anything else a guest might need. The house is in a quiet location so it is very peaceful. Also within less than 3 minutes drive from all of the restaurants. Never needed it, but there is a washing machine and dishwasher if you are that way inclined. Lovely swimming pool for the hot days and an aircon in the bedrooms really helped with sleeping comfortably in the heat. Fridge and freezer more than adequate for a few days stock. Beds are four-posted and fully encased in mosquito nets (trust me it is an necessity in a small town with hot weather). Communication was superb from the host and she was even considerate enough to let us know early the morning that we could take our time with check out if we wanted as they did not have a booking for that day. I have NEVER experienced that kind of consideration from a host before."
