We had arrived much earlier before the check-in time (around 10 am) and were given the room without having to wait. We also got a free upgrade, which was a beautiful surprise for us since the room we got was utterly amazing: a terrace overlooking the green field with cows and the ocean, fantastic bathroom with a ceiling window (never seen anything like that), huge comfortable bed, many possibilities for dim lights and beautiful aromas everywhere. The interior design of the room as well as the entire hotel is top level. The spa area is rather intimate, yet we only saw one other couple there once. The breakfast was amazing as well with a variety of fruits and cheeses, and a possibility to order from the menu. We also had dinner at the restaurant once, it was delicious and well worth the price (which I'd say is just slightly above the average). We were in Sāo Miguel for 4 nights and I wanted to book hotels in different parts of the island. So we stayed at SENSI for 2 nights, at a top rated hotel in Furnas for a night and then at another top rated hotel near Ponta Delgada (won't mention the names, but these are the ones you find in all those "best hotels in Azores" lists). SENSI was the one we loved the most, 100%."

Super comfortable bed, large bedroom with plenty of storage. Large bathroom with modern shower. Plenty of towels supplied. Body wash/shampoo included. Large separate living room area with very comfortable sofa. Adjoining kitchen space was well outfitted with fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. Host supplied a basket of fruit and cheese, fresh rolls and butter. Everything we could possibly need was covered. Filipe, was very helpful with suggestions of places to see and visit. He also gave us a tour of the pineapple greenhouses on the property. Only downside was motorbikes on the road at night, but we put on some background white noise on our phone to cover the noise. We live in the country, so normally we are used to silent overnight, but we had no problem once we set up the white noise. Property exceeded our expectations. We would definitely come back if we make it back to the Azores."

We spent a few days here in February during the worst weather, but we felt warm and cozy in our tent thanks to the lovely fireplace and electric heater. The hosts, Pedro and Antónia, are incredibly warm, hardworking, and hospitable people. A wonderful breakfast made from local products is kindly left in a basket on your porch, allowing you to sleep in without worrying about missing it. I could go on and on about this place, but the best way to experience it is to stay for at least three days. Highly recommended!"
