We didn’t realise the hotel had only opened in June - the owners have spent the last couple of years renovating the chateau and it is beautiful. It's more of a guest house than a hotel or B&B - a very nice breakfast buffet is provided but there are no staff in the hotel overnight (though the owner lives on the property nearby) and you have to drive for lunches or dinners. Having a drink in the Lalique Bar was a particular delight, as well as dining outside at the Terrasse Restaurant, and walking in the Vineyard.
