Compliments to the Rutz for having a ton of chairs and umbrellas on the beach and around the pool" - "The entire resort was a "10," as I expected it to be since it's the Ritz Carlton! I asked for an upgrade, and they happily upgraded me for almost double my initial reservation. I found the business side of the vacation frustrating and a little shady. I was promised select upgrades for being on the concierge floor, which I only got because I complained bitterly. I was asked if I wanted the same seating every day, but on multiple occasions, my seating was given away to someone else. I was told I had select seating at the pool, and the seating was the worst seat on the beach. Lastly, I was told my resort fees were not going to be charged to me since I paid for this big upgrade, but I was charged about $101 additional each day. I had to get management involved to compromise and split the difference between them."
