We didn’t realise the hotel had only opened in June - the owners have spent the last couple of years renovating the chateau and it is beautiful. The best was the restaurant - mentioned in the Michelin guide (I am happy it does not have a star yet because it makes it just as good and more approachable). The hotel is buried in the bustling suburb of Le Bouscat - bikes, cars, kids going to school - so be prepared with your car to navigate the little busy streets. But somehow you enter the garden and all of that is left behind. An oasis of calm and serenity. Rooms and restaurant impeccably and uniquely decorated to a high standard. All of it was great, and 15 min from the airport the next morning. They also have AC in the hot summers. We will go back!"
