The separate dining room served the best breakfasts and evening meals to order were very good. A lot of the fresh ingredients are grown in the hotel allotment. The chef took time out of his busy day to give us a cookery lesson, instructing us (through the translation of the lovely hotel manageress) how to cook a selection of local traditional dishes which we then ate for dinner. The manageress also booked us a wonderful guide (Sonny) and driver to show us the sights of Amritsar and the Wagah Border Ceremony (not to be missed for entertainment value!) The hotel is a 10 minute tuk tuk ride from the old town and the spectacular Golden Temple, worth seeing both by day and night. Make sure not to miss the amazing 24/7 Community Kitchen too."
