Dinner is optional from €20 per head, again all home grown or local organic produce & delicious. We especially enjoyed the house starter / sharing platter & Anna's fabulous pasta dishes! The location is high in the hills above Amalfi, about 5km from Bomerano & about 15 minutes walking from Agerola, the nearest small town which has a tabacchi, restaurants & a mini supermarket. We hired a car & there is plenty of free parking on site but be warned that driving is slow going on the Amalfi coast & not for the faint-hearted! We also used the buses extensively which are reasonably priced & frequent enough, but be prepared to stand your ground for the later buses in Amalfi as there are no queues. Accepting that we were upgraded, the accommodation costs were very reasonable. The room was beautiful, spacious, modern, functional & spotlessly clean. The big, hot shower was welcome in walking days. Overall, we had a brilliant week exploring this lovely part of Italy that was new to us. Our host Silvio made us very much part of his family for whom nothing was too much trouble & Agriturismo Mare e Monti has become our home away from home. The rest of the family team also deserve a mention in addition to Anna, Silvio's wonderful chef & sister. These were his young nephews & nieces Magdalena, Emiglia, Alberto & Salvatore. Our sincere thanks to you all. We are already looking at our return trip!"

The location of the hotel is also situated by multiple bus stops, cafés, and close to the store to buy bus tickets. I loved not staying in Praiano because it had so many wonderful restaurants to offer within a 15 minute walking distance. You must be prepared though that although everything is in walking distance, you do have to walk up many steps on the way back or take the bus.  Antonella and her team were so helpful in making our stay comfortable and easy. She provided us with a map of the town, bus schedules, recommendations for dinner, and showed us up to our room and give us instructions for using the facilities and provided us with a welcome drink. She was there when we needed her and never made you feel as though you couldn’t ask her a question. She was absolutely the best host we’ve ever had. Lastly, our room was very comfortable, the bed was spacious, the air conditioning worked great, and the shower is amazing. If you were trying to decide to stay here or in Positano, I would highly recommend as Positano gets way too busy and you can easily access the town by bus. We would 10/10 reccomend"
