It was the perfect base for exploring the local area - I was able to hire a car from Agia Galini for a few days to get to the local towns/ beaches/ into the mountains. The helpful guides for things to do in the local area were great. Such a lovely, relaxing place to stay - would highly recommend!"

The owners are a lovely cretan couple, very polite and warm, always eager to help, their hospitality faithfull to the ancient greek PHILOXENIA. The view of the Messara bay from there is amazing! In fact, one of the fiew balcony views I'll always remember and for the likes of wich a single flight of stairs is a puny prize to pay. The lodging is new, very well maintained and exquisitely clean. The room was big enough to move freely. We wanted a 3-bed-room and to my daughter's delight we found a complementary smaller space for the third guest, instead of the usual 3 beds in the same room. Close enough (7' by foot) and through the traditional stepped street of Agia Galini, there is the port and quite a few great places (ranging from café to bistro and restaurant) that offer breakfast luncheon and super. There are also supermarkets and minimarkets within walking distance. Don't hesitate to drink tap water from there, it is safe and coming from the famous Kretan mountains. About 6' from the port or 8' from the lodging is the beach of Agia Galini - one of the cleanest seas of the Mediterranean, where a local wind blows against the waves, breaking them effectively. We had such a great time there, that it came naturaly to promisse visiting again Agia Galini and Christina's & Michalis's house, and SOON."
